P.E.O. Chapter HG will meet Monday night, April 25th at the home of Kathie Ervin at 7:30 P.M..  The program will be given by Pat Beatty. 

Vinton Feeds the World raising funds for food packaging project

  Wednesday, May 4th 5 to 7pm or until gone   Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1206 C Avenue, Vinton   free will offering   Dinner includes: Pasta with marinara or alfredo sauce Garlic Bread Homemade salads and desserts All proceeds will go to purchase meals for Vinton Feeds the World food packaging event to be held on September 11th.

Shellsburg American Legion to host Fish Fry, Friday, April 22

Mark your calendars for the Shellsburg American Legion Fish Fry Annual Spring Fish Fry on Friday, April 22 from 5 - 8 pm. Serving All you can eat Fish, Baked Potato, Salad bar, Juice & Coffee and cup cakes for dessert. Admission is Adults: $9, Kids 5-12: $6 and 4 & Under: Free. All proceeds to go to charities sponsored by the Legion.

Vinton MOPS to host a Mothers and Daughters Luncheon

Bring the women in your life and join us for a 4 course plated meal reminiscent of an English High Tea. Saturday May 7th  Blessed Hope Church 11:00 and 1:00 Reservations Available Adults $20 Children 10 & under $15 This event is open to the public and proceeds go towards our ministry of supporting moms in our community and funding our groups service projects.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church to host effort to Feed the World

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206  C Avenue, Vinton is having a fundraiser dinner on Wednesday, May 4th from 5 to 7pm.  The dinner will include pasta with marinara or alfredo sauce, garlic bread, homemade salads and desserts.   A free will offering will be accepted.  100% of the proceeds will go to the Vinton Feeds the World 2016 food packaging event to be held on September 11th.

Handbell Choir and Vocalists to perform Sunday, April 17

Come on ring those bells!!!……and sing a little too. A concert featuring the Handbell Choirs and Vocalists from the Vinton Presbyterian, Wesley United Methodist and Trinity Lutheran Churches, will be held on Sunday, April 17th at 2:00pm in the sanctuary of the Vinton Presbyterian Church, 608 1st Ave. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

CP Friends of Library Think Spring, Plan Garden Walk

At its April meeting Friends of the Center Point Library tidyed up plans for a fund raising garden walk on Saturday, June 18. The willing workers who are kindly inviting the public into their gardens are: Karen/Craig Batcheler, Vern/Carma Almandinger, Teresa/Dan Scheeler, Dennis/Linda Schlicht, Dusty Sylver/Mike LeClere. Nathan Schnell will greet guests at the hosta garden he planted at Fross Park and the Center Point Garden Club butterfly garden there will be featured too.

Today, April 11 Folksinger Adam Hall will be Performing at the Library

Join us this evening, April 11th, at 6:30 p.m. for a concert by folksinger Adam Hall as the Vinton As the Public Library kicks off National Library Week, this family oriented-concert is enjoyable for children as well as their parents and grandparents. Adam is an accomplished folk-singer, storyteller and autoharp virtuoso. During the week there will be daily drawings for prizes, and of course, something to nosh on.
